Western Motorsports was founded in 2007. The focus of Western Motorsports has always been on quality, integrity, and teamwork and this is showcased throughout the team, their fans, and sponsors. Western Motorsports exists to win on and off the track. Countless hours are dedicated to the research and development that leads to the high performance of our race team, but all the right mechanical parts and data are not what produces our success. It is and has always been the dedicated people involved with our team that are the key to our racing program. Our philosophy is simple, we are true to our word and we are fully committed to the success of our team, fans, and sponsors.

~Ownership~

Western Motorsports is a California LLC owned by Rick Backus. Rick Backus is also the president of Eleven Western Builders, Inc., a major general contractor that has specialized in retail construction for over twenty-seven years. With over twenty-seven years of business and racing experience, Rick Backus provides Western Motorsports and our sponsors the leadership and solid foundation on which our successful race team is built.

Western Motorsports is an experienced and dedicated team of people that share a passion for racing and a deep understanding that fans and sponsors are what keep our wheels turning. From our shop personnel and marketing team to the guys who lay it on line on race day, Western Motorsports employs the best of the best in off-road racing. Their professionalism mixed with a fun, family atmosphere has kept the team winning together for years.
