The 7200 class is an “open” class. There are really only two rules that competitors need to abide by outside of having an identifiable truck body. All trucks must have a maximum track width of eighty-five inches and a six-cylinder engine. This leaves a lot of room for creativity and the class shows it, with an array of different ideas. You will see everything from rear engines and transaxles to buggies with truck bodies as well as a wide variety of engine manufacturers including Honda, Ford, Chevy, and Ferrari. All of this diversity adds to the challenge and excitement of the 7200 class. Western Motorsports has had an extremely effective combination with the Mason Motorsports chassis and 3.6 Liter V6 engine package. The 2012 season will bring even better things including an larger, updated engine package, an ever evolving suspension system, and chassis upgrades. These upgrades paired with excellent driving talent will allow Western Motorsports to be a force upon the track.
